The 2017 TableTalk executive team is a group of engaging, articulate, and passionate leaders of various communities at Emory. These individuals facilitate cross-cultural TableTalks on campus, identify and build new initiatives, and help to steer the mission of the TableTalk organization.

Josh Patashnik is an Emory Senior double majoring in philosophy and business. He is very interested in music, film, photography, and coffee (he will always make an hour for a conversation about Miyazaki). He first joined TableTalk back in 2014 because he felt that their needed to be a framework for how organizations could intentionally interact. He believes there is a lot more hard work to do, but he has loved every minute trying to achieve this lofty goal.

Gretel Nabeta (Kampala, Uganda). Co-President, TableTalk. Gretel is a senior majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Film Studies. She is an executive member of Brother and Sisters in Christ (BASIC) and Student Government Association. She is also a resident advisor with the Second-Year Experience at Woodruff Residential Center.

Amanda Obando (Santa Tecla, El Salvador). Founder and Co-President, Media Arts and Logistics (MEALO) Amanda is a junior studying theory of knowledge, contact improvisation, and touch culture in America through an Interdisciplinary Studies Major. She is part of the IDEAS Fellowship, enjoys nude and documentary photography, and works in marketing videos for technology innovation at Emory.

Christopher McDougal (Dallas, TX). Vice President, TableTalk[X]. Christopher is a sophomore double majoring in Religion and Sociology on the Pre-Law Track. He is a member of Rathskellar, a comedy improv group, as well as the Founder and Co-President of Freedom to Grow Emory.  As a Woodruff Scholar, Christopher studies political and cultural development in respect to religion.

Daniel Pizarro is from Sugar Hill, GA. He is a first generation Latino student. He is majoring in psychology and minoring in sociology. He researches biological and environmental factors of schizophrenia in clinically high risk individuals. He plans to pursuer PhD in clinical psychology and a masters in public health.

Shea Fallick is a senior at Emory studying Math and Economics. He loves being outside, playing music and reading biographies. Shea joined TableTalk to contribute to its mission of breaking down barriers between different groups on campus, and is excited to see all that CampusCouches does to advance this goal in the upcoming year!

Sam Zeurcher, a junior in the Business School and Albuquerque native, spends her free time trying not to cry over internship recruiting. To calm herself down, she loves volunteering for NGMW, cooking, and relaxing with friends. She joined TableTalk her sophomore year and has since shared some favorite college memories with members of the team.

Helena Zhao is a junior in Emory’s College of Arts and Sciences. She is an economics and environmental sciences double major. She joined TableTalk because she thinks one of the greatest barriers to the advancement of society is the lack of interaction that many people have with those who are different from them. She wants to promote the expansion of personal perspectives by encouraging unlikely conversation. In her free time she loves hiking, doing yoga, reading, and going to museums.
